The 1st Quarter SFOUG meeting will be held on Thursday, March 4th, 2010. We have a great opportunity to hear from Janis Griffin, an expert Oracle DBA who possesses a clear and in-depth understanding of Oracle systems. Janis will be presenting on the increased performance you can get using the new results cache features of Oracle 11g. You are sure to receive informative and educational content you can take back to work the next day.

Presentation

Increase Performance using Results Cache in Oracle 11g (60 minutes)
Results Cache is a new feature of Oracle 11g and it does exactly what its name implies, it caches the results of queries into a slice of the shared pool. If you have a query that is executed repeatedly and reads data that rarely changes, this feature can increase performance significantly. This presentation will discuss this feature in detail and show you the ins and outs of using it.
