Presentations and Live Demonstrations at our Q2 2006 Meeting
Event News: Jay O'Leary (President) -- Fri Jun 30, 2006 09:00 AM EDT
As members entered the meeting they were presented with a buffet of light appetizers and refreshments. They enjoyed a half hour of socializing with other Oracle professionals prior to starting the presentations. The second quarter, June 29th 2006 SFOUG meeting was on the much anticipated Business Process Execution Language (BPEL). You probably heard of web services, a technology for systems to call each other over the Internet. Often information is shared via XML messages between application servers. As businesses move more and more to using web services, the messaging and bundling of program logic can get complicated. That is where business process execution language comes in. BPEL is emerging as the standard for assembling services into an end-to-end process.
